Project Story Short Film
Document the creation of a project in the making
Service Description
A 2-5min video focused on a single creative project. Here we become your behind-the-scenes film crew, capturing key moments throughout the process of creating a single piece or collection, be it a painting, book, sculpture, installation, studio session or performance. Editing and direction for these pieces can range between cinéma vérité style documentary, or stylized, concept-driven, experimental, scripted narrative or semi-scripted works. The end result is a 2-5min cinematic short film which immortalizes the creation of your project for current and future audiences. These videos are used as showcase pieces in your online portfolio, or as as a case study pitch piece to give stakeholders deeper insight into your creative process. This project is offered at 3 levels of production scope starting at $2,500. All packages include: - Pre-production planning (concept development, scripting, logistics, etc.) - Minimum one half shooting day (3-6hrs) in studio or on location - Comprehensive post-production (editing, color grading, music, sound design, graphics) - Two rounds of revisions - Final delivery of (1x) 2-5min video file with optional unbranded hosting - Worldwide usage licensing in perpetuity for personal, promotional/marketing, website, YouTube, social media and portfolio distribution

Film production is often volatile work and can be affected by many unexpected variables. We account for this uncertainty in our project budgets and production plans, and will make every reasonable effort to accommodate such changes without incurring additional costs to you whenever possible. We are flexible and can often find creative solutions in these situations. In any case, we will discuss these issues with you if and when they arise, and alert you to any foreseeable or potential added costs.
Projects booked by flat fee will be billed on a 50/50 schedule (Deposit/Delivery, Net 15). Retainer-based projects and subscription services are invoiced monthly. Subdivision by deliverable or other payment plans may be available. GVF offers occasional promos and discounts. Inquire for details prior to booking.
Project launch and production scheduling will be done at GVF’s earliest availability following Client’s booking; signing of Client Agreement; and payment of a minimum 25% deposit against the total project budget.
